CTA Coronavirus Status Updates

  • Please review and accept CTA's updated guidelines and waiver for COVID-19 league play 
  • Summer leagues schedules posted.

  • Public tennis courts around the DC-area are open for play

Other Updates:

  • Cap Classic Tournament (September 11-13) - CANCELLED
  • In-House Singles and Doubles Tournament (September 11-13) - We are combining our in-house singles and doubles tournament this year and holding it the weekend normally reserved for the Cap Classic. Register by August 28!! 
  • Earth Day Volunteer Invitational Tournament (April 18) - POSTPONED - Until further notice.
  • Team DC Night of Champions Dinner (April 18) - CANCELLED - Team DC has decided to cancel this year's dinner.  Stay tuned for more details on next year's event.
  • CTA Spring Social (April 25) - POSTPONED - Our annual spring social at the Arlington YMCA is postponed until further notice.

Tips for playing tennis during DC's Phase One reopening:

  • USTA has updated useful tips and recommendations regarding playing tennis here and a handy flyer here.
  • DC has Phase One general guidance here and guidance for parks and open spaces specifically here.
  • The CDC has guidance regarding community-related exposures to Covid-19 here and, if you engage in travel, guidance regarding travel-related exposures here.

Tips from the DC Mayor's Office to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus:

  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom, before eating, and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.  
  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick. 
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands. 
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.
  • Use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol if you have symptoms of acute respiratory illness.
  • Stay home from work or school until you are free of fever, signs of a fever, and any other symptoms for at least 24 hours and without the use of fever-reducing or other symptom-altering medications.
  • Seek medical attention if you have reason to believe you have been exposed to coronavirus or influenza. Call your healthcare provider before visiting a healthcare facility.
