Dear CTA,

The Board and I hope you're all safe and well.  We wanted to send you a quick status update on the remaining winter and spring leagues as well as the upcoming summer leagues.

We are revising the status of the remainder of winter and spring leagues to cancelled until further notice.  This aligns with the status of Rock Creek and Hains Point, which are both closed until further notice, and Fairfax, which is closed until June 10, well past the current end date of winter and spring leagues.  We will hold off on processing and issuing any refunds, however, until after the end of the seasons, both because that's our usual practice and in case by some small chance any of the facilities open back up and play is able to (safely) resume before the end of the seasons.  Again, if this refund policy poses some sort of hardship, please reach out to us and we will work with you.

As for summer leagues, unfortunately there's not much we can plan for at the moment until we know when our facilities will reopen.  Our plan, then, is to hold off on setting our summer leagues schedule until we hear from our facilities on what their plans are.  As soon as we find out when they plan on reopening, then we will set into motion all the work we need to do: figure out play dates for each of the summer leagues, registration, scheduling, etc.  The fact of the matter is that all of this takes considerable amount of time and work on our end, even without a pandemic.  And we may get little to no advance notice from our facilities before they open back up.  On top of that, even when the time comes for facilities to reopen, we must still take into consideration if leagues will be able to resume and in what manner, keeping everyone's safety in mind and following public health guidance and restrictions at that time.  Therefore, we hope you understand and please bear with us if there is some lag time from when our facilities reopen and our first leagues are able to play.  Trust that we will work as expeditiously as possible when the time comes to (safely) resume league play and we will keep communicating updates to you as we learn more.

In the meantime, please continue to stay safe and healthy.  And let us know if there is anything we can do for you, our CTA family.
