Spring League Sign Ups

The following CTA leagues are planned for the spring:

1. Saturday Rock Creek Doubles - 12-2pm from March 17 through May 5 - $32 for 5 weeks of play

2. Sunday Rock Creek Singles - 12-2pm from March 18 through May 6 - $64 for 5 weeks of play

The registration links will be found in the “Leagues” tab on the site. You must log in with your user ID and password to access this portion of the site. If you haven’t tried logging into the site before, please be sure to do so ASAP. If you cannot access this portion of the site, please contact the CTA Membership Director (George McConnell) at membership@capital-tennis.org at least 24 hours prior to the registration start time. Otherwise, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to resolve any login problems you may have with your account during the registration process.

Online registration is done through secure transactions via PayPal (http://www.paypal.com). You do not need a PayPal account to register, but you will need a valid credit card. Existing PayPal members can pay by credit card or checking account. Payment by check will not be accepted.

If it is unclear from your PayPal account who is registering for the league (e.g., one person is registering for multiple people, or the name on the account is not the actual name of the person registering), please send a copy of the PayPal receipt to me at mstorey@igc.org to clarify who is registering for what.

If you will not be able to register online due to extenuating circumstances, please ask someone else in the league to register for you. If this still is an issue, contact me to make alternate arrangements. With approximately 250 members in CTA, our leagues generate a lot of interest and can fill very quickly.

IMPORTANT:

1. Registration is accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

2. Please note that your credit card will be charged for every league you sign up for. Refunds will be given for any league you do not make it into due to lack of availability. We hope to avoid having people pay for leagues that have already filled by closing registration for that league as soon as possible after it is filled. If you want to register for a league that has closed and want to be put on the waiting list, please contact me at mstorey@igc.org.

3. You must be a member in good standing (i.e., paid your dues for 2011) in order for your registration to be valid.

4. Please note that the costs of the leagues are calculated based on the court costs, the costs of providing balls each week, and the minor PayPal charges that apply. The sum of these costs is then split evenly among the members of the league.

Some leagues may fill quickly so be sure to note the date and time of registration opening so that you can try to guarantee your spot.

Please note: Any payment to CTA, as CTA is organized as a 501(c)(4) organization, is not tax deductible because CTA is not considered a charitable organization. This includes membership fees, league and other participation fees (drill sessions, ladders, CTA social events).
